Same with my parents families Dad was oldest of eight. Mom one of youngest of eight. I have cousins on one side older than the aunts on the others. It was very confusing for a young child. But we had an aunt (whom I am still close to) helped be graff it to explain
I miss that old family thing. We are all scattered to the wind now. I am the 16th grandchild on one side and the oldest on the other. But I married a man 14 years my senior. His grandparents and mine were the same age more or less. I do remember following my cousins around.
