KEANSBURG -- As Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno formally launched her 2017 bid for governor Tuesday, she avoided any talk of the unpopular governor who gave her a shot in statewide politics eight years ago.
Promising that "better days are ahead in New Jersey," Guadagno in her 22-minute speech at a Mexican restaurant La Playa did not mention Gov. Chris Christie's name at all.

Christie, too much baggage to be on Trump’s team and too much baggage for re-election.
True. Christie is term-limited this year in 2017. He may run for president in 2024 or something, or maybe Senate in 2018.
A very Blue State.
NJ looks set to elect another D Governor in November.
Trump lost the state to Hillary Clinton.
Christie has no chance to get the presidential nomination and forget about a US Senate bid next year.
Kim also ran away from Trump, I will not support her.
He should open a Jelly Donut chain.
She will get blown out by historic numbers. She may not break 40. Typical Republican maxes out here at 43-44 in a normal election. Christie was an exception. She has zero charisma and he is despised. It will be a bloodbath.
She would be wise to pick Jay Webber for Lt. Gov.
Guadagno could beat Menendez next year. He’s corrupt.
