How about a national initiative to build a long term THORIUM ENERGY FUTURE that will make America a powerhouse for decades in addition to this more immediate action?
I am actually disappointed that Trump doesn't want to fund new nuclear designs. But then, if he gets rid of some of the unnecessary regulation surrounding nuclear power, then private industry would be willing to fund development themselves.
