The libs from the SS (Sea Shore) Party (conveniently) forgot this little speech by one their deities: Donald Trump should just televise this Bill Clinton speech from 1995 and then simply state, "I'm Donald Trump and I approve this message.!"

The structure in question is popularly termed a podium, rightly or wrongly. It appears that your mission in life is to track down and correct this grievous misuse of Latin by English speakers. Good luck to that end. Maybe you’ll eventually find yourself mounting a podium and lecturing from a lectern regarding this earth-shattering offense.

Great post and very true. I’m not surprised that Trump responds to stuff normally ignored. It’s because the last R we had failed to respond to anything.

Obama’s first inauguration was on Jan 20, 2009, which was a Tuesday. It was the day after the MLK holiday, however, which made it right after a 3-day weekend, at least for federal employees.
Could always have bee much worse. Michelle/Michael has to be very careful about what “it” wears.

A slightly different take .... both are valid, IMO:
I saw a comment on Trump’s/POTUS Facebook page .... the guy was thanking Trump for giving up his “billionaire life” and choosing “us” .... meaning the American people. I thought that was a beautiful sentiment & it’s why so many people believe Trump, if not love him. Actions speak louder than words ... he’s already acted by giving up his life as a businessman for one of public service.
One important point that is not being emphasized is that the lawns in the Mall were covered with tarpaulin for the first time during an inauguration, thus giving the impression of empty space. CNN, for one, showed that empty space distinctly in their shots of the crowds. The lawns are usually cordoned off and devoid of crowds anyway!
Been waiting for a long time for a president that governs like he said in the campaign, so yeah, the speech was in fact perfect, what he has been saying all along.
The Democrats need leadership but have nobody. The liberal agenda took over the party. They are now stuck in a quagmire with nobody willing to drain their own swamp. The protestors in the media are searching desperately for new answers. They are caught in a trap. If they side with Trump they are in trouble. If they oppose Trump they are in trouble. The people are sandwiched in between the media and Hollywood somewhere in deep left field. They need someone to hate to keep hate alive.
this is what the founders envisioned. Not professional politicians who come and never leave demanding a career in politics which should not exist.

0bama is gone; he will stick around with his Soros’ money and create a stink and try to undermine...but, Trump is putting his people in place, talking over the media, correcting the media, bully pulpit. That will be a limiting agent to the commies (I will call the Left commies from here forward).
Clintons are out of business and will be too busy laying low, running from world mafia trying to hold on to their $250M and hide it. They may in part keep 0bama in check as if he tries stuff on them, they can leak info about him and his husband, Michael Robinson.
Ayers, 0bama’s other cabinet members, Podesta, other commies will be funded as part of Soros’ machine to try to undermine.
I predict Trump manages them well enough that they get so frustrated we’ll see they try a real terr0rist act or two.
That’s my take.
Ryan, McConnell, McCain will be issues, too.
