Almost two-thirds of federal employees voted for Hillary Clinton during the presidential election, according to a new survey.
The poll also found that six of 10 felt that the election itself gave Americans a negative impression of federal service.
So it may come as no surprise that some federal employees are considering leaving their employment when President-elect Donald Trump assumes office.
More than one in four federal workers, or 28 percent, will definitely or possibly consider leaving their jobs after Jan. 20 when Trump is sworn into office and becomes leader of the executive branch, according to the survey conducted by the Government Business Council and Government Executive, which both track the trends of the field.
Half said that Mr. Trumps business experience would hinder his management of the federal government while almost two thirds believe that his business relationships pose a conflict of interest. Both points are also popular narratives within the Democratic Party as well.

Please God... Let it be so...
Never happen. The lazy slags promising this won’t give up the fine pay and good retirement. Most of those threatening to quit could not get a job in the private sector any way.
Sure. Right. Theyre going to quit those cushy high paying, low stress, little work federal jobs just because Trump. Wont happen.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Speaking as a federal employee for 25 years, now retired, I can assure you this resignation nonsense is nothing but a silly joke. Federal employees almost never terminate their employment unless they have found more lucrative employment elsewhere. Ain’t gonna happen!
Indeed. All bluster.
I wish Trump would pull the deal Caligula did in "I, Claudius". Caligula got sick and everyone thought he was going to die. A senator offered his life to the gods if they would save Caligula. Well, Caligula got better and meets the senator and says "I am told you offered your life to the gods in exchange for mine." The senator, beautifully played by an actor I can't recall, all smarmy and oily, says "Yes".
Caligula eyes the guy, who is expectantly waiting some huge reward, and says "Well, I'm here and you're here, and one of us shouldn't be". The look on the senator's face is priceless. In the end, he had to commit suicide in order to placate the gods - and Caligula.
I would love for Trump to show up at the Department that had the greatest number of those blowhards and say, "Well. I'm here . . ."
In Your Dreams.
My second favorite story of the day (the best one was about Obama moving out of the White House tomorrow)
OMG! We could only hope they leave willingly!
Wishful thinking. They aren’t going anywhere. They will have to be pried loose.
Yeah, like the 28% of entertainers who are going to leave the country...promises, promises...
“28% of federal employees may quit their jobs when Trump assumes office: Poll”
yet more fake news. Federal civil service jobs are so cushy, there won’t be a single person who resigns because of President Trump.
