It MIGHT possibly be a security issue, and not wanting both of them at the same place at the same time, for an extended period....OR...perhaps the VEEP had something else he needed to attend to.

I had seen Toby Keith in 2004 or 2005 at Summerfest in Milwaukee WI. Anyways my sister and I sat next to 2 women who never met each other before. One was from Wisconsin and the other from Michigan. Their sons were serving overseas in one of those hellholes and saw Toby when he was doing his USO tour. These boys thought it would be great if their moms met and went to the concert together. I felt honored to be a part of that celebration.
