Addressing an audience at the Islamic Center at NYU, ... 2010, White House counterterrorism advisor John Brennan said U.S. government actions and policies had contributed to the problem of negative stereotyping of Muslims. -snip-
... speaking in Arabic..., Brennan used terms .. to appeal to his audience, such as Al-Quds for Jerusalem, Palestine and as the Quran reveals... -snip-
Ignorance is a threat to our national security, prejudice is a threat to our national security, discrimination is a threat to our national security... and it must stop, he said.
Violations of the Patriot Act; surveillance that has been excessive; policies perceived as profiling; over-inclusive no-fly lists subjecting law-abiding individuals to unnecessary searches and inconvenience; creating an unhealthy atmosphere around many Muslim charities that made Muslims hesitant to fulfill their sacred obligation of zakat [an Islamic tithe or tax] these are challenges we face,.. he said.
... Brennan a Jesuit-educated Catholic has played a prominent role in the administrations outreach to Muslims,... He's been a leading proponent ... to stop using terms many Muslims find offensive, such as jihadist as a descriptor for terrorists acting in the name of Islam. They are not jihadists,... for jihad is a holy struggle, an effort to purify, for a legitimate purpose....
The administrations National Security Strategy, released ... after the NYU speech,.. the term jihadist did not appear in the 52-page document and the word Islam appeared twice the U.S. was not fighting a war against Islam, it said, ....
(By contrast the Bush administrations 2006 NSS stated that the struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century, although it also said that Islam has been twisted and made to serve an evil end.)
... Brennan said, Our enemy is not terrorism because terrorism is but a tactic. Nor do we describe our enemy as jihadists or Islamists because jihad is holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam meaning to purify oneself or ones community.
Newspapers in the Islamic world routinely use the term jihadist (or, in South Asia, jihadi) in their news reporting on terrorist acts, without suggesting that the term has been misappropriated
Weak, appeasing, Islam-respecting grovelers like Brennan is how you lose your civilization. Thank God he’s gone
And yes his reverence for that death cult is awfully suspicious.
I don't care if I'm paranoid I still think the shooting down of the Seal team was an inside job...
we have pedesta's own emails stating that the adm was only hiring muzzies for certain positions....
they infiltrated our whole govt...
thx God for Trump....
They purged the names of the muzzies so Trump can’t find them in the government.
I don’t think the President will have to rely on lists held by his opponents to discover who are his opponents.
CIA not Fbi.....which is even worse....
A lot of these dangerous muzzie traitors are pretty far down the bureaucracy’s corporate ladder and won’t be identified until it is far too late to do anything about their loyalties.
If you know that, why would you think the administration wouldn’t know it and take the appropriate actions?
Of course this guy is a hardcore Obama loyalist. Their views are so aligned it’s scary. Political correctness above all, denying the real enemy and the war we’re engaged in (vs Islam) paying too much attention to social justice and equality, having a bizarre appreciation and being too respectful towards the enemy instead of obliterating it.
No wonder we are where we are right now. Impotent cowards like Obama and Brennan just don’t have the balls to take on Islam. And with both of them there is far too much smoke for their not to be fire regarding what their actual relious views are.
