As students at the black colleges (Morehouse and Spelman) know only too well, it would be inadvisable to take a stroll through the areas directly surrounding their campuses, even in the daytime. GA Tech students can venture out a little more safely, just not at night. But that reality does not fit the Chamber of Commerce narrative, so we get PR in place of truth once again.

Where are the veterans representations?? I know there were ‘a few negroes’ in the U.S. Air Force in the 1970’s. What has he done for them?
