Two top aides to President-elect Donald Trump denied a published report on Saturday that he is planning to hold a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin weeks after taking office.
The Sunday Times of London reported that Trump had told British officials that such a summit was being planned, possibly to be staged in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik.
"The story is a fantasy," one Trump aide told Reuters, speaking on condition of anonymity. Another said the report was not true.

Reuters did what REAL journalists are supposed to do: pick up the phone and make a single phone call to see if something is true or not.
The fake stream media has truly run off the rails, and have now fully lost ALL credibility.
bttt
Russia is boring me.
“Russia is boring me.”
i suspect the average American is pretty bored with it as well. the fake stream media is WAY overplaying their limited hand with this one.
It still sounds bogus!
CNN, Credibility Not Needed.
lol, beat me to it. This 'corrected' story refers to an anonymous aide. So how do we know which story is true?
If anybody is associated with Russia it is HRC.
This is their projection meme to the max.
Unfortunately for her, she lost the election.
Her foundation is finished and those pissed off investors are coming.
Incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer called the report “100 percent false” on Twitter.
Maybe they put the “condition of anonymity” in there just to irritate Trump. I don’t think he would stand for that crap.
Play with the devil you get the horns.
HRC is the player we are dealing with.
I like Spicer a lot from what I’ve seen so far. Straight shooter.
I kind of think it’s a shame if Trump feels he needs to distance himself from Putin. Trump is brilliant but a novice at politics. I can’t imagine a better mentor than Putin, who has been a very strong leader. Together, Trump and Putin could accomplish a lot and potentially save Western civilization.
>Russia is boring me.
Honestly as long as we’re not going to fight a war, I couldn’t care less about foreign policy right now. I want our domestic system fixed before it destroys us all.
I feel the same exact way!
Calling on Putin to be a mentor is a big stretch. I don’t think Trump will make decisions one way or the other based on the medias distortion. Trump can hold his own and a professional relationship will work fine.
This was probably another LEAK STING by Trump, and somebody’s head will roll
Trump will "distance" himself from Putin if it becomes appropriate, and the chances are, Trump will have to distance himself from Putin at times.
And Putin isn't Trump's mentor.
As if holding a summit would necessarily be a bad thing. Wouldn’t it be kind of like a “reset button”?
