Apparently some women need no help being demeaned; they demean themselves. There is something so grandma like about knitting and something so puke punk about the subject of this knitting. It reminds me of some gawdy crochet some women make. Just no.
I don’t knit but I know people who do and some of them are artists. The things they create are amazing. Not your grandmother’s afghan type of knitting, not that there was anything wrong with that. Those are useful items.
These people are giving knitting, a valuable and useful skill, a bad name.
