Speaker of the House Paul Ryan told an illegal immigrant Thursday night that she shouldn’t “worry” about getting deported this year.

A 32-year old illegal immigrant living in Oklahoma named Angelica asked Ryan during a CNN town hall if he thinks she should be deported. Angelica was brought to the United States when she was 11, and thus is protected under President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty for illegal immigrants brought to the United States as minors. The woman has an American-born daughter and wondered if someone in her situation should be deported.

“The woman has an American-born daughter and wondered if someone in her situation should be deported.”

He should have told her “Madam, I think you should be executed”.

Many universities have issued statements declaring they will protect their illegal alien students. They present it in terms of being committed to the education of so-called dreamers, bright children who have grown up here, ‘undocumented’ through no fault of their own. This seems to be the pet demographic being used to evoke sympathy.

However, something about this ‘dreamer’ category is troubling me. As children, yes, these individuals had no choice in the matter. But, upon reaching the age of 18, they become adults. At that point, regardless of their parents’ situation, they can get a passport and apply for a visa and do what is required to become ‘legal’.

For students, I would think getting a student visa would be a relatively simple matter. Of all the illegals, college students appear to be the best positioned to make things right. If they were not in reality using these students as a political wedge, one would think the universities would be facilitating that, much in the way they require immunization compliance.

At age 32, a person has had 14 adult years to work on making their status legal, if they had any interest in being law-abiding. This is such a contrived issue.

Where do I sign a letter of protest against Ryan? He does not speak for me or millions of others. As far as sanctuary schools, churches, colleges, towns, cities and bars. Pull their accreditation and federal funds if they do not allow the current laws to be enforced. Next thing you know Ryan will want to protect jihadis.
