"Pentagon says nothing unusual for head of DC National Guard, a political appointee, to be asked to step down Jan 20."
Then why - according to the story - is the general himself so perplexed by this routine event, which he says came without explanation? Is he ignorant of the procedure?
You would think that his notice of termination would be couched in some formal notice like this, "Pursuant to US Code 337-3283653-998, your term of service will expire at 12:01 PM, January 20th, 2017. We thank you for your service blah blah blah . . . "

This termination could not come from PE Trump...He, even though elected, is STILL private citizen Trump...This order had to come from Obama admin...Another attempt to make Trump look bad and maybe cause more disturbances...

Supposedly, the part that's automatic is that every presidential appointee offers his resignation effecive 12:01pm on Inauguration Day. What's not automatic is the resignation being accepted -- which is why this officer didn't have to be reappointed during the middle of the 2009 inauguration. It's probably the same thing as all those ambassadors whining that they were shocked to see that their resignations were accepted effective immediately. Trump is starting with a clean slate, accepting them all.

Could the Lying leftist Media be trying to get mileage out of this apparent routine event?
Nah. They’d never do something like that.
