I read the NYT interview with Thiel that’s currently referenced on Drudge, and I think it’s bad for Trump supporters to even expose themselves to interviews where lefty libs frame the questions and the narratives in their own warped worldview - all you get is a barrage of negativity against Trump. Why expose ourselves to that? Let them stew in their own stunted worldview. What is that to me?

Not #Calexit (on their terms), but #CalGTFO (bum’s rush).

The liberal disease is spreading. Might be better to amputate before it infects the remainder of the country.

Apparently Thiel’s comment that “ … it would help Mr. Trump’s re-election campaign” was made rather tongue-in-cheek.

Why would one think that? Make the comment in a flat, matter-of-fact tone, because it's only completely, obviously, accurate.

I think it would be especially helpful to many if there were no dual citizenship between the Socialist Republic of California and the United States, and if visa applications were very strictly reviewed.

I’m also in favor of giving them the United Nations as a goodbye present.

Oh, that's an excellent idea!

My attention went immediately to the comparison between 1976 and 1988 maps of the Bay area, which brought me to this LAW.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), Pub.L. 99–603, 100 Stat. 3445, enacted November 6, 1986, also known as the Simpson–Mazzoli Act, signed into law by Ronald Reagan on November 6, 1986

California has become an albatross around the USA’s neck, and Republicans and Trump especially. Why wouldn’t they want CA to secede? So we pay an import fee for its produce. Let them compete with Chile and other Latin American countries.

CA is a lot to give up but l see it as that beautiful woman that at some point you realize is not worth the misery that comes with being with her. Northern CA is not as bad but sitill more blue than read. Don’t forget San Fran is in the north. If it was divided we end up withanother blue state and 2 more Rat Senators. No, time to cut the loss and let em go. Within 5 years it will like the world from the movie “Escape From New York”.

Mexifornia can go, but under certain conditions.

And I hope the fed gov makes conditions, such as totally cut off from the US Treasury. All federal programs that typically filter money back to the states would end.

All US military bases either remain as a base in Mexifornia under similar terms as they exist in Germany, Japan etc for mutual protection.

They must secure their border with the US. Any foreign aid they receive would be contingent upon how well they treat us, which includes securing their border.

Before being allowed to secede, they must allow other parts of Mexifornia to split away and be given the option of staying in the union.

Bingo!!! Voting by county assures that the “Nuevo California” would consist primarily of San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles. The part of California that can actually feed itself would probably choose to form California 2.0 and remain in the US. Walling off these the previously mentioned areas would be considerably less costly than fencing the entire California border. Additionally, Portland and Seattle might be willing to leave. (:-).

It only took the Quebec Separatists about a year and a half to do the math and realize that they would be economically non-viable as a country.

On the other hand, it appears Californians can’t do math at all.

The Cal CIT movement won’t last long. CA will be bankrupt by the time of the next Presidential election and they will effectively be a dependent of the federal government.

California can GO. Wall that border too.

No, it can't. If the Bay Area and LA want to secede, fine. The rest of California is mostly red and includes a lot of excellent farmland that would greatly benefit from being freed of the coastal environmentalists. Most of California, geographically, is still Reagan country and there's no way the Bay Area/LA liberals should be allowed to steal it.

Make ‘em build a border wall and pay for it, THEN they can leave. That wall will be the new coastline after the Big One.
