Obama's Phony War on ISIS
American Thinker ^ | January 12, 2016 | Jonathan F. Keiler

It was recently mentioned that U.S. Forces have dropped over 27,000 bombs on Syria and Iraq during Operation Inherent Resolve, the Obama administration's campaign against ISIS. Given the current controversies over the reliability of and possible political motivations behind American intelligence assessments, let's look behind this figure to see what these munitions have bought the U.S. during the campaign, and whether we can count on the Obama administration's related claims about the war on ISIS or the claims of his intelligence community in general.

Historically, air campaigns are mostly measured by aircraft sorties rather than munitions dropped. In the age of precision munitions (and almost all the weapons deployed in Inherent Resolve are in that category), perhaps things are somewhat different. Still, it is useful to examine this figure against the number of sorties flown and most particularly against the administration's claims of ISIS losses. In doing this, it is not my intention in any way to impugn the motivations, determination, or skill of the American aircrew, ground crew, support, command and control, or special forces elements that have carried out this campaign so far. Although ISIS anti-aircraft defenses are extremely weak, the very fact that American forces have managed to fly tens of thousands of missions safely and with negligible losses, often at night, and requiring frequent in-air refueling, is extremely impressive.

When a U.S. president is simultaneously swabbing the rumps of Iran, the Gulf oil kingdoms, the Turks, the Russians and the UN, it’s hard to decide where to drop the bombs.

O has protected ISIS as much as he possibly could.

They like to say that he “created the vacuum that allowed them to flourish”. Its way worse than that. He and the Turks and Saudis created them. They are his baby. They later became an embarrassment, and he has had to pretend to fight them. But he has protected them as far as circumstances have allowed.

History will record that Obama and the corrupt Clinton
CREATED ISIS, to make slavery, rape, murder, and crucifixion
world wide.

The GOP (traitors to America) should have impeached the
O-terrorist, but they also support al Qaeda and ISIS.

Now someone should ask,why would Obama want to destroy the creature he created with the help of John McCain.

He (Obama)pulled our troops out of Iraq, leaving a vacuums and an Iraqi military unprepared to protect the country without the need for U.S.assistance.

Than with the help of McCain he helped arm terrorist in Libya and Syria with U.S.weapons which the terrorist have turned on our troops.

History will not remember the first Muslim President kindly.

I guess Russia is even treating ISIS with bigger kid gloves than the US according to the author, Syria is smaller but ISIS is stronger, you never hear of Russia killing ISIS or Al Qaeda leaders. Aleppo? That wasn’t ISIS.

It’s much worse than this article details. Spending millions (per sortie) to drop bombs on one or two terrorists is outright criminal. Beyond this, the never-ending war has dramatically reduced readiness and burned up decades of service life on some of our most important platforms. It’s almost as if degrading our military readiness was a primary goal.

The most evil government in the history of the republic.

This article speaks to your claim that Obama is very good at killing people. As the site’s premier Obama apologist/defender, you need to read and memorize every line. All Obama is good at is wasting money, undermining/degrading the military and demoralizing the troops.

Obama having been quoted as saying that he is good at killing people has what to do with the authenticity of his birth certificate?

For about another week I will continue to speak out against those who I believe were unwittingly used as dupes to let a phony issue help Obama to get elected and reelected.

“Take what your opposition considers to be your weakness and make it your strength.”—Saul Alinsky, Rules For Radicals

Obama was able to use the natural born citizen issue to get votes and make his opposition look silly. On eligibility, 226 court rulings in his favor, 98 appellate rulings in his favor, 27 denials of appeals at SCOTUS. Zero rulings that he was ineligible.

“Obama was born in Hawaii, period.”—President-Elect Donald J. Trump, September 15, 2016

This is the quote from you I alluded to:

“I certainly hope that President Donald Trump also will be very good at killing people”

You used the word, ‘also.’ In context, you said Obama is good at killing people. If you actually read the article I pinged you to, you’d have seen that Obama is piddle-poor at killing people—at least when the people in question are ISIS.

Looks like everybody but you is waking up to the fact that Obama was a dismal failure, especially when it came to killing terrorists:

“Obama was GOLFING 20 minutes before the OSAMA BIN LADEN RAID so he would have an excuse to DISAVOW ANY PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT if it went south”

Very first comment:

‘Has there ever been a more spineless leader of any nation ever?’

‘For about another week I will continue to speak out against those who I believe were unwittingly used as dupes to let a phony issue help Obama to get elected and reelected.’

Said no intelligent person ever. The issue was at best (for Obama) neutral. LIV couldn’t have cared less; informed voters of the non-Leftist persuasion saw it as indicative of fundamental dishonesty on Obama’s part, while the tiny little cluster of hardcore Obots claimed, with zero evidence, that the issue helped Obama.

Proof that it never did came when Trump began to speak our on it. If the stupid, intelligence-insulting POV of the Obots had a shred of truth in it, Obama’s popularity would have soared. He’d have absolutely refused to produce a LFBC for that very reason. The scandal would have been helping him too much to take any action to end it.

Instead a mad scramble ensued, and like a rabbit out of a hat, the cut-and-paste LFBC appeared.

I hope you do leave. You won’t be missed for many reasons, but here are just teo. One, you continue to repeat Alinsky-style lies even after you’ve been corrected many, many times. I.e.: you’re dishonest.

Two, you’re not half as intelligent as you imagine you are. You are a rote-parrot, posting the same tired talking points over and over and over. When they’re entirely irrelevant and contribute nothing, you post them all the more. You’ve never posted even one fresh, original and creative thought. As a person who knows their own IQ, I can say honestly that your deficit in that area is one of the most tiresome and boring things you bring to any discussion. It will not be missed.
