I know, I know. January 11 is very early to declare something as the "_____ of the year." But trust me on this.
First, some background information. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is the only African-American Republican member of the Senate. He has also publicly supported Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) for attorney general. William Smith, an African American who formerly served as Sessions' counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee, also has gone on the record to defend his former employer from accusations of racism.
Naturally, "tolerant" liberals didn't take this very well. In a now-deleted tweet aimed at Scott and Smith, Twitter user @Simonalisa referred to the two as "house n----s." Scott, in what is an early candidate for clap-back of the year, had only a single word in reply. He's in the Senate, not the House of Representatives.

Ha!
Scott followed up that tweet by saying that he believes it's possible to disagree, without being disagreeable. Which, frankly, is a good motto for everyone.
Disagree without being disagreeable. #motto https://t.co/xFGP3Xj1BI— Tim Scott (@SenatorTimScott) January 11, 2017
thats just funny....but he’s right, whatever happened to civility?
I love this guy.
I love this guy.
Good for him!
Stupid they are, the cultural marxists!
Burn!
Civility was moribund in the 1980s. It has been in the grave for decades.
Civility when dealing with an enemy that publicly and constantly calls for the destruction of everyone that aint them?
You’re kidding, right?
Leftists only worry about civility when they find themselves playing defense.
SENATOR Scott already made that joke.
That was Senator Scott’s comeback.
There, fixed it for you.
Yah,I noticed that but only *after* I put on my glasses.Yikes!
Great comeback, though.Kinda like "you will call me Sir or Mr Thackery" (To Sir With Love...great film).
I genuinely like Sen. Scott. Unlike many of his counterparts, he’s a class act.
I don't know much about him but what little I do know suggests that he's exactly that...a class act.Being a lifelong New Englander who's all too familiar with the likes of Ted Kennedy and Bernie Sanders I can't,for the life of me,understand how Gramnesty survives in SC.Seems to me he belongs in Vermont or California.
Sen. Scott makes me PROUD to be from South Carolina!!!
Senator Scott displays more patience and civility than I or most people would after that attack!
I think I read booker is the designated senate Rat Nword
