Germany’s domestic security chief warned on Sunday that the country’s radical Islamist scene is not only growing, but becoming more decentralized, posing greater challenges to surveillance operations.
In an interview with national news agency DPA, Hans-Georg Maaßen also defended security officials under fire after it emerged that Berlin truck attack suspect Anis Amri had slipped through their net, saying they had done everything they could.
Overall, the number of Salafists — or fundamentalist Sunni Muslims — in Germany has risen to more than 9,700, sharply up from 3,800 people in 2011, said Maaßen.
“It’s of great concern to us that this scene is not only growing, but it is also very diversified. There is not just one, two, three or four people who have a say,” he warned. “Rather, there are many people who dominate this Salafist scene. And all these people have to be watched.” …

That might be a good guess as to the number ready to act on their instructions in their book from their prophet, but is grossly underestimating the number who believe they should carry out jihad.
All muslims are religiously obligated to subjugate, convert or kill all unbelievers.
Jihad is a central tenet of Islam.
It will not stop until there is only Islam or no Islam.

Each and every one of our military personnel serving in Germany is now at risk. Will they receive combat pay?

You are correct sir, and I don't have a lot of confidence that the Germans will ever be permitted by their own government, to do anything about the Islam problem.
Let's not get all worked up about this. Merkel has everything under control! And she has a solution to this problem. Merkel plans import even more Muslims.
And that makes sense. Because if you get shot in one leg, the very best thing you can do is allow yourself to get shot in the other leg.

He went on to say, “None of us in Frau Merkel’s government ever saw this coming. We were all taken by surprise that this would happen. It’s still a mystery to us all. But it’s not related to the million army-age, male refugees we forced on the German people. That’s a completely different event, and a sign of our moral superiority. So get used to living in fear and under constant surveillance. It’s the German way, after all.”
I was once concerned about moslem savages running amok in Europe. No longer. If the euroweenies are not bothered about cities disappearing in a cloud of nuclear waste or the cruelty of bio warfare blanketing a metropolitan area then it should not matter to me. It flat out no longer does.
