Columnist and admitted Meryl Streep fan Piers Morgan said the actress anti-Donald Trump rant delivered during Sunday nights Golden Globes was easily the worst performance of her career. In his column Monday for The Daily Mail, Mr. Morgan lamented the stench of hypocrisy throughout Ms. Streeps speech that condemned the president-elect and accused him of bullying others. She began by saying that Hollywood, foreigners and the press are the most vilified segments of American society right now, Mr. Morgan wrote. At which point the cameras panned out to hundreds of the richest, most privileged people in American society sitting in the audience in their $10,000 tuxedos and $20,000 dresses, loudly cheering this acknowledgement of their dreadful victimhood. She then said that if all the outsiders and foreigners were kicked out of Hollywood, youll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts, he continued. Wow. I havent heard such elitist snobbery since Hillary Clinton branded Trump supporters a basket of deplorables.

Streep has played so many characters she is now out of her mind!
The overpaid narcissists worshipping themselves ate it up.
As long as Piers doesn’t talk about guns, he’s fairly reasonable.
da bitch was off script
Good for Morgan. At least will get some to think about what she said.
I actually thought that “deplorables” have been the “most vilified” class in recent months.
Is it starting to dawn on these so-called celebrities that 99% of the country no longer gives a crap about them?
Actually, whilst muzzles are at the bottom of the stench list, with liberals only slightly above that, Hollywood makes a strong stink at third from the bottom.
Oops, forgot about the FBI, NSA, IRS, EPA, career insects...er...politicians, cockroaches, Black Lives Matter, and on and on.
Gadzooks, there are a whole lot of six sigma to the left of normal competing for the most loathed spot, eh?
Meryl Streep just told about 3/4 of the country that they’re trash. As Rush said today on his show those words ought to be used in campaign commercials to show how out of touch these elites in the Rat Party really are. Sorry Meryl I would rather watch a football game or UFC than listen to a pompous leftist on NPR or put down $15 to watch overpaid lefty hacks like you in crappy movies.
True, since he left CNN he’s shown episodes of surprising objectivity in reporting events in America unlike many of his fellow MSM cohorts.
Perhaps she was made aware of the dangers of Alar too late? /sarc
and probably off meds...of one kind or another.
This is the trouble with elitists - they eat their own $hit. Mitch McConnel doubted Trumps victory and thought the RNC was going to lose the house and senate on election night! That’s because they have their lips locked onto the outlet of the DC septic tank. It severely effects the way they think.
They make their living by pretending they are someone else. No need to change now.
Everyone must stop seeing their movies
Trump comes from a time of REAL actors.
Patriots with more talent in their thumbs than the preening , over exposed Meryl Streep. People like Charlton Heston, John Wayne and Ronald Reagan.
For all I hear that Streep is the greatest actor of her time, what film of hers will people still watch in 20 years time? She is the Jeb Bush of actresses
Interesting point. She’s a really good actress who does a great job of becoming her characters. Just look at her playing the late Julia Child in “Juliet and Julia” where she really got her character. At some point, can she come out of character and then, into what?
I never knew that about Morgan. He’s spot on, but I never knew he could be reasonable. His gun rants are unhinged..
She is still the miscreant only Hollywood could produce.
