A current Corolla probably outperforms most of the muscle cars of your era.

The current Corolla has a quarter mile time of about 17 seconds on modern tires. Big block muscle cars of the late 60s and early 70s did the quarter mile in 13 seconds on little pizza cutter bias ply tires.

My 2016 Honda Pilot is quicker 0-60 than virtually ANY 60’s muscle car.

It’s quicker to 60 than our ‘71 Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3 was.

Oh, it can go around a corner, too.

It’s no match for my BIL’s 650 Shelby Mustang though...except in the snow.
