I think this may be a security issue.

Not 100% sure, but I believe that FL laws prohibit citizen carry in commons areas of airports.

At MSP, you can carry anywhere outside of the “secure” area of the airport. After TSA screening.

In Florida, as in a few other states, the unsecured areas of the airport are gun free zones.
