Trump is an advocate of U.S. power.
Hillary is a Howard Zinn / Saul Alinsky Progressive.
Putin has had free reign with little opposition from the U.S. during the Obama/Clinton/Kerry regime.
Why would Putin want Trump over Hillary?
There should be no doubt that the Russians (and several others) had the interest and the means to hack the DNC and Podesta emails (and many, many other high-value American government and corporate targets).
There should be little doubt that the Russians actually DID hack the DNC and Podesta emails.
There should be quite a bit of doubt that the Russians fed the content to Assange.
There should be a hell of a lot of doubt that the Russians wanted to swing the U.S. election in favor of Trump.
Why? Because despite policy differences, Vlad thinks Donald is sane, but Hillary is not.
My thoughts on why Putin preferred Trump. Countries profile leaders of other countries. Perhaps Putin saw in Hillary someone who wanted to be a wartime leader who surpassed Maggie T. and Golda M. Might even pop a nuke to insure her fame. Trump already has his fame, thus less of a threat to do something radical. Putin would probably like to restore Keivan-Rus but prefers it not to be radio active. Just an old mans thoughts.

Because Hillary was going to start a war with Russia that Russia feared would result in a nuclear exchange destroying both nations. The whole world dodged a bullet on November 8th.
She was so easy to beat it was boring. Putin wanted a worthy opponent. Just like in the spy thrillers./s
