BERLIN (AFP) – The first reprint of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” in Germany since World War II has proved a surprise bestseller, heading for its sixth print run, its publisher said Tuesday. The Institute of Contemporary History of Munich (IfZ) said around 85,000 copies of the new annotated version of the Nazi leader’s anti-Semitic manifesto had flown off the shelves since its release last January.

It’s at least parts of the Old Testament. If I didn’t Read the Old Testament, I would mean not read it AT ALL, meaning, not even reading one word of it. So no, if I’ve read even some of it, I’ve read it, even if not all of it.

And BTW, God himself desired domininist faith in the first place. I can name another Old Testament reading: God demanded for the Israelites to conquer various places of the promised land, and he also had Moses raise his arms to give Israel the advantage. And God made clear he intended to rule over others and considered only himself king over everyone, and that INCLUDES the temporal.

No, actually, Egypt at that time was polytheistic, having Osiris, Ra, Anubis, and all the pantheon. That’s also why when God led the Israelites out of Egypt, one of his stipulations was that they have no other gods before him, the plural meaning they just got out of a culture that worshipped a plethora of them.

Yeah, well, I’m not Lutheran, I’m a Roman Catholic, which I have made repeatedly clear. And even when I was a kid, I was Episcopalian.
And no, I go by whether you have read it or you have not. And if you’ve read even some of it, you’ve read it. It may not be all of it, but it’s still read enough to voice something on it. My idea of “not reading it” means you literally haven’t even read a single word on it.

I’ve read Mein Kampf. In it, Hitler lays out a lot of info about how his techniques for swaying people. You need to read it in order to understand how he came to power.

Again, no, Akhenaten was NOT the Pharaoh at the time God brought Israel out of bondage. That was Ramses, and he most certainly wasn’t monotheistic unlike Akhenaten. If you’re going to make a statement against monotheistic theocracy (which, BTW, God HIMSELF encouraged) and use the Bible, at least get the Egyptian Ruler in charge at the time right.
And for the record, I don’t worship myself, THAT’S atheism. And I might as well point out that God HIMSELF stated that Christians were to dominate the whole world just through Jesus telling us to preach the gospel.
And I still stand by my views about that quote, considering Marx still advocated for remaking the Reign of Terror and making it even more of a bloodbath.

I go by exact literal words, and if you say read it, I think “read even one word”. So long as I’ve at least read some of it, that’s good enough to qualify as having read it. Maybe not as much as “all of it”, but certainly more than read none of it.

Okay, correction, it’s not Ramses who was the Pharaoh at the time, it was Amenhotep II, but either way, Akhenaten was definitely not the Pharaoh at the time of Exodus.

Unlike you, they’re under the purview of a curriculum that has them read ALL of the Old (AND New!) Testament.
Maybe so, but the fact of the matter is, I HAVE read the Old and New Testament, maybe not all of it, but definitely some of it, which is STILL reading it compared to not reading it.
