There's a good word for that:
Gobsmacked
Filibuster is undemocratic. One of those obsolete Senate traditions that died an unlamented death.
Democrats didn’t care about minority rights when they ran the show. Turnabout is fair play.
Republicans can quickly eliminate the filibuster for SCOTUS nominations and Democrats don’t have a leg to stand on.
That’s what political expediency does over adherence to principle.
Now its easier to get the conservative agenda passed into law without Democrats gumming up the works.
SO.MUCH.WINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Filibuster was necessary and useful
Democrats gutted it so screw ‘em
AFTER they pack the seats they should put things back the way they were
Happy Thursday folks!
How about them precious metals, gold's at $1,174.50 and silver's now at $16.63 --and futures traders see a steady-as-she-goes +0.39%. They got stocks off a fifth of a % after yesterday's 'broad gains in mixed volume'. The Dow's now ready to cross the big 20K line and Rush says it'll be there before the end of the day "mark my words". No wait. That's what he said a couple weeks ago....
We got a 'flood warning' for today:
7:30 AM Challenger Job Cuts
8:15 AM ADP Employment Change
8:30 AM Initial Claims
8:30 AM Continuing Claims
10:00 AM ISM Services
10:30 AM Natural Gas Inventories
11:00 AM Crude Inventories
New FR econ threads:
Frankly, the depraved stupidity of the Dumbocrats-—this is just one perfect example of many-—never ceases to amaze me.
Having the half-caste Moron in the Oval Office gave Reid and the rest of ‘em the **lls to refigure the Senate votes. Stupidly thinking they were IN forever, the Dumbos killed the filibuster.
You’d think putting Reid and Pelosi out there as their leaders was the ultimate stupidity......but the Dumbos compounded their stupidity by nominating Hillary for President.
In the article about Harry Reid -- who in 2013 eliminated the filibuster for presidential appointments, except to Supreme Court
Elena Kagan is the most recent appointee and that in 2010. Rest assured that Reid would have included SCOTUS judges if he had had one to appoint.
Reid was the Senate Majority leader from Jan 2007 to Jan 2015.
GOP needs to change filibuster on supreme Court. The Dems would change it on day one if back in power.
Say what? The Dumbos once enjoyed their jack-booted lock-stepping in the Senate. I guess Charlie is p!ssed b/c he gave away his vintage brown shirt and arm band.

You have to laugh at the Democrats' current plight. They have almost no leverage to block anyone President Trump decides to select for judgeships or cabinet posts. They can't stop Republicans from repealing most of ObamaCare. And they only have themselves to blame.
Question for the experts: Did the Democrats get rid of all filibusters or just the modern fake filibuster? Could someone still do an old school filibuster where they take over the podium and read the phonebook and have aids bring them food etc? In other words a REAL filibuster?
BS. It was a necessary brake on the government. Both sides are going to suffer from it. We aren’t a democracy remember?
We’re supposed to be a limited constitutional federal republic.
We have not been a limited government republic since the passage of the 17th Amendment. This article is just more proof of the unit party and why the 17th Amendment needs to go away ASAP
If the Dims keep up the streak theyve been on recently, they may steal away the Republicans title as The Stupid Party.
Shadenfreudelicious
The MSM is really pushing this steaming pile of BS. Harry Reid used the term "judicial," which doesn't stop at the Court of Appeals.
It's funny isn't it? DJT should only nominate candidates who the democrats will support so that they can have "bipartisan' support. Of course that would make them completely unacceptable to the people who elected DJT.
I remember in 2008 that Chuckie was singing a different tune...with a backup chorus of GOP sellouts...claiming that the man elected President ought to be able to chose whomever he wants and Congress should simply respect the results of the election. What changed?(rhetorical question that doesn't require the effort to push "Reply")
