(CNSNews.com) As the Obama Administration comes to a close, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is pushing ahead with its plan to restrict more federal land from future mining operations by putting 10 million acres in six states off limits.
As part of its continuing efforts to conserve habitat vital to healthy populations of the Greater Sage-Grouse in the West, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) today announced the draft proposal to withdraw a subset of lands that are sage-grouse strongholds from future mining claims, read a press release posted on the BLM website on Thursday.

Transfer them all to a new agency to build/repair levees and waterways under the direction of the Corps of Army Engineers. First project — a Wall along the Southern Border.
Need to change their name to BLT (Bureau of Land Theft)...that way they will be defined and will not be mistaken for the other BLM...

Shorten the hunting season and reduce bag limits in areas where grouse have declined but the gov’t does not get the land restriction.
At the beginning of my retirement, I had a dream of raising game birds for Field Replacement! When looking at Sage Grouse and their (?) decline, I found the laws restricted that.
Never, did I find an answer.
