Here's a video of where democrats were promising to go (remember they were anticipating winning the Senate). In this video, "future VP" Tim Kaine promised democrats would change the rule to eliminate the filibuster for SC nominees.

McConnell should do it. Without a doubt, once democrats retake the Senate, they will do away with the filibuster and ram through their plans. Besides, what better time to do so, than when the left is clamoring for a rule by the majority? Give them what they want - and what they WILL TAKE once they are back at the controls.
