I kind of see the wisdom of using nepotism in police recruiting. Relatives know relatives and no cop will recommend a relative, not even a son, whom he feels is “not cut out for the job”. Forget psychological and background screening, they’re useless. Oh the stories I could tell you.
I learned to trick the police interview polygraph by tightening and relaxing my sphincter throughout the process.
It worked!
Nepotism leads to even worse corruption as the thin blue line is reinforced with protecting family and reputation.
They always think they can control junior until they can’t. No thank you.
