Some of us want to grab a hot meal during lunch hour or are in the mood for a particular type of meal or want to give our wives a break. I'll sneer at husbands who can't make their own lunches and shove that chore over to their wives. Bet she'd like a break from a lot of other things, too.

Sneer all you want. My wife does make most of my lunches, and I earn the money by working a full time job and doing work on the side developing tables and databases. (I was up until 2AM doing just that last night) She has never had to work outside the home, though chores and home-schooled kids keep her plenty busy. It works for us.
We don't buy into the husband does 50% of the housework business. We are conservative, and counter-revolutionary.
