BEIRUT, Lebanon — Secretary of State John Kerry was clearly exasperated, not least at his own government.
Over and over again, he complained to a small group of Syrian civilians that his diplomacy had not been backed by a serious threat of military force, according to an audio recording of the meeting obtained by The New York Times.
The 40-minute discussion, on the sidelines of last week’s United Nations General Assembly in New York, provides a glimpse of Mr. Kerry’s frustration with his inability to end the Syrian crisis. He veered between voicing sympathy for the Syrians’ frustration with United States policy and trying to justify it.
The conversation took place days after a brief cease-fire he had spearheaded crumbled, and as his Russian counterpart rejected outright his new proposal to stop the bombing of Aleppo. Those setbacks were followed by days of crippling Russian and Syrian airstrikes in Aleppo that the World Health Organization said Wednesday had killed 338 people, including 100 children.
At the meeting last week, Mr. Kerry was trying to explain that the United States has no legal justification for attacking Mr. Assad’s government, whereas Russia was invited in by the government.

This is a huge story posted on FR yesterday at the Conservative Treehouse that proves conclusively the traitorous criminal behavior of Obama, Clinton, Kerry, McCain, Graham, et.al. trying to drag America into WW3 with Russia one way or the other. You would hardly know that by reading Ms. Barnhard’s benign treatment of this shocking whine by Kerry ... where’s the 24/7 attack coverage until this Regime is brought down in its last hours of miserable existence?
Kerry sounds just like a high school girl trying to arrange who should date who, or what clothes they should wear - and then gets exasperated when it doesn’t work out.
Lurch is complaining that the kenyan didn’t do enough. Seems like the meme about all the support obama was providing the Syrian “rebels” is not true. I suspect the reality is the US did little in Syria but waste money. That has been the kenyan’s M.O. for 8 years.
The only reason they released this info was to try to show John Kerry in a good light. So they did not worry about the big picture of what this tape demonstrates.
And it puts Obama in a bad light. Nobody likes the kenyan. Except maybe Reggie in the sauna.

Yes, no legal justification. So why were 12 CIA operatives captured in Aleppo 3 weeks ago? Were they on a sightseeing trip with the terrorists they were caught with? The reason the US is not invited to the talks is, they are the ones causing the war
The war mongers should be ashamed of what they did to these Syrians rebels. They died by the thousands because they thought the US would help them remove Assad and give them control. And that was never going to happen. All the US wanted was that Qatar oil pipeline. Russia entered when the Daesh forces were threatening to over run Damascus. Daesh only wanted a hard core Islamic state.

We need to never let up, call his office, send him emails, and investigate him. What is he covering up?
