The likely way they’ll enforce this is to use heat detectors in either satellites or planes. Then they would send you the fine in the mail. Fail to pay the fine and they’ll show up and take your driver’s license or have you arrested until you do pay. (That last should be unconstitutional, but few people have the money to take them to court.)
In California and Washington state they use vans and drive down the street taking thermal pictures. Then you get the fine in the mail.
I’d bet some of those vans gather more than thermal data.
I thought they were just saying you couldn’t burn wood. How do they know you’re not burning propane?
Figures .. the bastards .. no more revenuers to disappear, ehh ?
How much pollution are they causing by driving vans up and down streets to catch the polluters?
I have a gas furnace but I rely on wood. They declare burn bans from time to time but don’t publicize them very well. There’s been times when I’ve found out about the ban 4 or 5 days into it.
I’ve seen stores about them catching scofflaws but have been lucky so far. From what I’ve seen they ironically save their scrutiny for the urban areas and leave us hinterlanders alone....at least so far.
Several years ago, I saw a documentary on energy/’clean’ energy, etc. In one segment, they flew a helicopter over parts of Los Angeles...and they could easily identify the interior temperatures of the houses it flew over. The ‘Big Brother’ implications are endless.
