Dems need to follow-up the Obama debacle by choosing Ellison as new party leader. That should pretty much eliminate the party at the grass roots level in most states.
And Trump needs to “follow up” on the GOPe to make sure that they are unable to derail his reforms. In two years we have an opportunity to make the Senate fillibuster-proof with 25 RATs and only 8 RINOs up for re-election. Hopefully, by replacing RATS and most of the RINOs too, we can finally get a Senate that does it's job instead of sitting around playing with their privates.
Ellison and Obama would be fine with destroying the Dem party’s national viability, as long as they got to rule over what was left.
Much like the RINOs were ok with losing the presidency, as long as their personal power remained intact.
