It’s time for school boards to take back their districts. They have been held hostage to State and Federal mandates that have forced schools to adopt ridiculous programs and curricula. I hope the Trump administration reads these posts. I just subbed the other day for the first time. . .the textbooks are something else. You have to go around the block more than once to begin to solve the math problems.

That happened because most people are clueless about the purpose of their local school board. They are there to represent the taxpayer.
Where I live most people vote for board members if they are professional educators. They think that makes sense.
On the surface it does, but it is like letting the Fox guard the henhouse.
Based on some of his statements, it wouldn’t surprise me if Trump isn’t a closet FReeper.
