This is yet another example of the difference between liberals and conservatives.
Consider the 2016 election. Conservatives disliked Hillary. Liberals disliked Trump, AND anyone who voted for Trump.
Conservatives view Hillary supporters as people who are just plain wrong. Liberals view Trump supporters as evil beings who must be shunned. That is not an insignificant difference.
