” This is important, because in principle you could provide insurance coverage to everyone while spending practically nothing if you were willing to make the insurance totally worthless.”
Is this from The Onion? No matter - best laugh I’ve had in days.

How’s the CBO’s track record when it comes to Obamacare? Did they predict its huge failure?

About 8 to 10 million people who didn’t have insurance will no longer be subsidized to have insurance. Everyone else’s premiums will be cut by about 30% or 40%. Sounds good to me.
Btw, isn’t this the same CBO that said Obamacare would be a net savings to the budget and consumers before the final crucial vote?

Blog Post? Why would the CBO Blog to Congressional Republicans? The CBO works out of one of the Congressional Office Buildings on the House of Representatives Side of the Hill.
To: Ernest_at_the_Beach
Keep in mind that in 2009, the CBO estimated that Obamacare would cause insurance premiums to rise no more than 10% to 13%.

"NON_PARTISAN" MY A**! The CBO responds to requests from Congress by any member or members (regardless of party affiliation)! The interesting thing is..., they are almost always provided with "Given Parameters" in which to provide their "Research Reports"! To the absurd..., "Assume that a meteorite having a solid gold core of 1 million tons has landed on Federal land in Alaska and it is easily retrievable this year. Given this "Fact", how much will the Federal Government be able to pay off on the national debt? A report will ultimately be issued! Get the drift??? Garbage-In-Garbage-Out is often their "Product"!

The CBO was, at one time, politically neutral.
I highly doubt they’re politically neutral today.

i have known two people who really needed medical care...
one has been told she has to wait 3 or 4 months to have a painful hernia checked...... the second one had nine doctors all say they will NOT accept Ocare or Medicare patients, period
as far as these limited experiences go, it seems that O-care is pretty much worthless anyway. Expensive but not very good, needs to be repealed. Let local communities and states deal with things locally, the fedgovt is almost horrible at delivering high quality consumer services anyway.

Wait, wait, wait. So, people having their Rights restored (vs. ‘mandate’) as well as $$ (subsidy paid so others won’t ‘spend so much’ of THEIR own $$)....is bad.
But a ‘law’, that hasn’t even been fully implemented and still swirling the drain (premiums/copays out the roof, same # of ‘uninsured’) is good.
Gotcha, CBO. STFU and GTFO.
