With the election of Donald Trump, Fox News has actually seen ratings grow since November 8.
CNN and MSNBC, on the other hand, have watched viewership fall off sharply.
I believe Fox News prospects for 2017 to be very strong, Fox News James Murdoch said at a conference this week, adding that ratings are less down than we expected. Murdoch also said CNN and MSNBC numbers have dropped quite a bit more than Foxs, partly because they had risen so much more during the campaign.
Over the years, the Fox News audience has been more loyal and less prone to breaking news cycles than CNN or MSNBC.
TVNewser did a quick check and found overall ratings for Fox News grew 16 percent from 1.57 million during the two months prior to Election Day to 1.823 million since November 8.
