The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is planning to cut 30 percent of its budget by Jan. 1, 2018, the end of President-elect Donald Trump's first year in office.
Because the far right will control all three branches of the federal government, we will face serious threats to the ability of working people to join together in unions, President Mary Kay Henry wrote in an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg Businessweek.

Union members getting hosed again, the bosses salaries will stay the same or go up but the spending on behalf of the dues payers drops 30%.
Union’s are a cancer.
That 30% represents bribe money that they aren’t going to give DIMs/LIBs.
I knew a black man at the gym who was recruited by the SEIU. He described his job as getting into people’s faces and screaming at them. I asked what happens if he gets hit by some old man. He said they weren’t supposed to start a fight but they could hit back. I said, okay, you hit some old man back and he dies of a heart attack. What then? He said the SEIU had lawyers on standby and they’d take care of it. After about an hour he agreed that it was a bad job but, “I’ve never made $15 per hour in my life. I can’t turn this down.”
So, hopefully the part the SEIU is cutting are their thugs.
Mary Henry, you freaking dunce, please define for us the difference between the “Right” and the “Far Right” other than the fact that whenever the Right does something that especially displeases you Marxists, you feel compelled to add the word “Far”. Does doing so make you feel better?
Nope. Especially not in the case of such a reprehensible, POS , anti-American organization such as SEIU.
If they were to go completely broke, end up on the street with cardboard boxes to live in and their entire POS union dissolved, I could still see more head room for potential misfortune that would increase my level of Schadenfreude.
Aren’t ballots still non-secret. , For the last few years, many states have turned from union slavery states to right to work, so they can’t blame dt for that one. Even west by God Virginia went right to work.
30% is a start.
They imply it’s because they expect bad times under Trump, but I suspect the real reason is that they spent their wad trying to elect Hillary.
Means higher dues for its membership. That oughta go over real well.
As long as to join a union is a choice rather than a compulsion, it doesn't bother me. But when you are denied the right to work because you decline to join, I get testy.
