That is one excellent cartoon.

As a public school board member, I have been decrying the influence and conditioning from kindergarten that infects the adult populace of the USA.

There are few viable voters coming out of the public schools because they make EFFORT to NOT graduate Republicans OR Democrats, but socialists with no political compass and no desire to assimilate into American society.

THIS article sheds SO much light on my thought process.

Ego defense is just a euphemism for pride.

I’m reminded of all the calls of “So-and-so is dead to me,” because of some opinion the poster dislikes, and then so-and-so is rehabilitated when he or she comes out with the “right” opinion.

I think it’s far more reasonable (and conservative) simply to agree or disagree on a case-by-case basis.

I like the "Such and Such Company has an employee who said something liberal (or did something stupid), so you all MUST boycott them, FOREVER!"

Heck, if I complied with every "must-boycott" here on FR, I'd be living in a cave, wearing animal skins and eating whatever I managed to forage.

It's good to have differing opinions on things. If, for no other reason than to assure myself that my opinion is valid.

Yes, that as well. “We” are susceptible to mob behavior just as “they” are.
