2 arrested after firing shots at officers in Teller County. The suspects are now facing felony charges of attempted murder.
...Rocky Mountain Crime Spree....
Have the Clintons moved there?
Likely not as the Republican presence in this county is overwhelming.
The suspect ran over the stop sticks, veered off County Road 1 and led law enforcement onto County Road 11, where he drove for several miles before reaching for a handgun and shooting at officers. Officers did not return fire.
Eventually the suspect was done in by three flat tires and was forced to pull over. He surrendered to officers without further incident, and has been identified as 26-year-old Austin Adams. A female passenger, identified by law enforcement as 18-year-old Tara Tarasi, was also taken into custody. A stolen handgun was recovered.
11 News spoke with a man who says his car was stolen by the two suspects in Missouri. He had left his car running at a gas station when it was taken. The same car authorities in Teller County were in a pursuit with.
The owner of the car discovered the Xbox had been returned to a Walmart in Kansas and assumes the rest of the gifts were also returned for money.
They could have sold the Hatchimal on Craigslist for big $$.
Hopefully, Walmart he presented Walmart with his receipt and they gave the Christmas gifts back. Slap those punks with theft of Christmas.
They started out here by stealing some truck parts/ tires, fenced them for cash, took off to Missouri where they stole the car and then turned around and came back. The turnaround was something like four days.
The young ‘lady’ was a real high school standout with several scholarships, etc. Guess she fell in with the wrong dude.
What a way to ruin her life and the life of her family, in just four days. Very sad.
Sad it is. She was pretty highly thought of by people who knew her and the family. Crap way to start your twentieth year.
Violent crime is unheard of here.
Murder in CO small towns? Not newsworthy.
This ain’t Chicago.
“...Guess she fell in with the wrong dude.”

It happens. Hopefully the justice system will take her background & age into consideration & she’ll have an opportunity to get her life back on track.
