The Christmas season is typically a time for joy, goodwill and acts of charity towards those less fortunate then ourselves, but one left wing professor seems to missing the spirit of this special time of year.
Associate Professor George Ciccariello-Maher of Drexel University, who teaches history and politics, made his Christmas wish public in a tweet on December 24th to the world. This professor's wish wasn't for peace on earth or goodwill towards men, but rather he wished for the death of an entire race of human beings as he laid bare his deepest desire for "white genocide".
The professor's tweets have since been made private on his Twitter account, but he did receive 56 "likes" from people who apparently agreed with Ciccariello-Maher's desire to eliminate the entire white race. He received a quick backlash from those who saw his disgraceful statement for what it was.
Drexel University was made aware of this professor's horrific tweet calling for white genocide and they have issued a response, which more or less equates to a slap on the wrist.
Something tells me if George Ciccariello-Maher had tweeted a wish for "black genocide", a temporary ban on refugees from terrorist heavy areas of the Middle East or even calling for stronger immigration practices, Drexel would have immediately terminated his employment and contacted the authorities. However, it appears this professor will only receive a stern talking to by fellow staff and promises to keep his desires for white genocide to himself from now on.Drexel became aware today of Associate Professor George Ciccariello-Maher's inflammatory tweet, which was posted on his personal Twitter account on Dec. 24, 2016. While the University recognizes the right of its faculty to freely express their thoughts and opinions in public debate, Professor Ciccariello-Maher's comments are utterly reprehensible, deeply disturbing, and do not in any way reflect the values of the University.
The University is taking this situation very seriously. We contacted Ciccariello-Maher today to arrange a meeting to discuss this matter in detail.
Ciccariello-Maher issued a response to the uproar over his white genocide tweet and claims it was completely justified as white genocide is an "imaginary concept" made up by white supremacists. He even goes as far as to say that white genocide during the Haitian revolution was a "good thing".

He then wrote on Sunday: "To clarify: when the whites were massacred during the Haitian revolution, that was a good thing indeed."
Not long thereafter, Ciccariello-Maher's tweets were picked up by the Daily Caller, Breitbart and other conservative news sites. His tweets are not public, or at least weren't as of Monday morning. It is public, though, that he has over 10,000 followers and has tweeted over 16,000 times.
Ciccariello-Maher teaches in Drexel's Department of History and Politics. His bio on Drexel's website says he is "an expert and frequent media commentator on social movements, particularly in Latin America" who also "teaches, researches and writes about race, racism, prisons and policing in the U.S. and internationally, including how race is associated with suspicion and guilt."
His name has appeared a few times in the Inquirer and Daily News, most recently in a story last year on how Philadelphia police handled protests in the city.
Reached on Monday by The Inquirer, Ciccarierllo-Maher offered a reaction to the reaction.
"On Christmas Eve, I sent a satirical tweet about an imaginary concept, 'white genocide,'" he said in an e-mail. 'For those who haven't bothered to do their research, 'white genocide' is an idea invented by white supremacists and used to denounce everything from interracial relationships to multicultural policies (and most recently, against a tweet by State Farm Insurance). It is a figment of the racist imagination, it should be mocked, and I'm glad to have mocked it."
Perhaps this history professor should brush up on his knowledge of the Muslim invasions of Spain and France in 732 AD, which prompted the First Crusade as a reaction to the slaughter of Europeans. Or the Turkish invasion into eastern Europe culminating in the Siege of Vienna in 1683, in which the Polish army ultimately saved Europe from untold slaughter if the Turks had proved victorious.
Obviously he won’t be fired. He will become an icon for the left, since he hates this country, and himself.

Genocide can happen to any race and it’s not something anyone should wish for or treat like a joke. It’s racist to state that any race either deserves genocide as there are wonderful people in every race or to say that any particular race doesn’t deserve protection from members other races who would be willing to make genocide on another race a reality.
I would suggest he give up all the whitey inventions in science, technology and democracy. However, he probably thinks whitey stole it from some poor brown culture.
