Don’t want to rain on anyone here but the next day the company released a statement saying he was talking about the industry, not just US Steel. I’ve been a shareholder of this for clients for about 2+ years now and it’s gratifying to see the turnaround but he did mis-speak a little during this CNBC interview.
Winning will be a new way of life! Spin, RATs, spin! But Øbama’s legacy will turn to dust.
The leftists will think of a way to present this in a bad light.
Make it easier to do steel and other manufacturing in this country. Loosen up some of these EPA laws, tax laws, etc.
Obama calling jobs like manufacturing “jobs of the past” shows what an ignorant fool he is. EVERYTHING has to be assembled and manufactured. Every physical thing, including high tech products.
Steel is used in most infrastructure and there is no reason it should have died in this country.
Saved more jobs than Buttcrack Hussein and Trump’s not even president yet.

This is sort of deceiving. US Steel isn’t going to hire 10,000 people back necessarily. He was speaking about the steel industry as a whole possibly hiring up to 10k. Still, it is good news but this story is just taken out of context. US Steel is closing an Ohio plant

That’s great and all but US Steel is a notoriously awful place to work. I know multiple people who have worked there in different departments and they all couldn’t wait to find other jobs.
Maybe the company philosophy will change under better conditions.
