Score one for the Texas LEOs. Here in CA I wouldn’t want to take the chance. Most cops here I’ve come into contact with regard all citizens as “potential lawbreakers.”
I don’t regard them as “friends.” Unfortunately, the current situation LEO’s find themselves in today, makes them behave the way that they do.
You have too many appointed police chiefs. They should be elected like our county sheriffs. It seems to make a big difference in attitude.
The appointed chiefs spend way too much time pursuing the Mayor’s political agenda. Appointed chiefs are a bad idea, not what you want in a lead enforcement officer.
