Must have been on their way to perform Christmas entertainment for troops, similar to USO.

If Obama is responsible for this there is going to be HELL to pay.

If so, have his skinny @$$ arrested on Jan 21, 2017 and turn him over to Putin.

Via Zero Hedge, no survivors:

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-12-25/russian-military-plane-crashes-killing-all-92-board-including-60-famous-red-army-cho

Ministry spokesman, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, told reporters that nobody had survived. The Tupolev transport plane had 92 people on board, including 84 passengers and eight crew members.

“The area of the crash site has been established. No survivors have been spotted,” he said. An unnamed ministry source told Russian news agencies no life rafts had been found, while another source told the Interfax agency that the plane had not sent an SOS signal.

Russia’s RIA news agency, citing an unidentified security source, said preliminary information indicated that the plane had crashed because of a technical malfunction or a pilot error. Another source told Russian agencies that the possibility of a militant act had been ruled out. The weather had been good

Ok, I’m sorry, that is just awesome!!!!! RIP for those guys (if any of those in the video were still with the band). Personally, I love cultural appropriation! It’s fun!! Reminded me of Keith Urban. Why can’t Russia have (American) country singers too?!

Duly noted they didn’t sing the verse knocking Neil or the bit about government being true.... only so far you can go... lol.

I love the smiles on the uniformed choir men’s faces. This really cheered me up.

Or it’s a Tu-154, a plane with an ominous safety record.

Not only that one:

Russian aviation authorities have grounded the country’s fleet of its newest model of civilian airliner, the Sukhoi Superjet 100. Metal fatigue, a problem usually associated with older airplanes, was discovered in the tail section of a new Sukhoi plane, the Russian regulator Rosaviatsia said Friday.

The grounding was the latest setback for the Russian jet, which has already had a rough introduction.

A Russian ambassador killed in Turkey by a young riot squad policeman over Syria and Aleppo, now a Russian plane down, could it be the same group or grievance?

We Americans who understand that Obama is trying to pressure Russia into war & has recently authorized distribution of MANPADS anti-aircraft missiles to ISIS-linked forces can only hope that there is no connection....

The Jihadi enabler-in-Chief may be responsible.

Obama probably ordered a shoot down of the plane with Russians on board. Obama NEEDS a war started in the next few days.

Wouldn't put it past these two

Was it mid-air explosion or did they somehow lose the control of plane and it just fell into sea?

Are you sure it is just Obama trying to pressure Russia into war. What about Trump’s reaction to Putin’s statement about enhancing his nuclear capability? This is explained/discussed in the two articles below, and here is a quote from the second article: Sweeping aside efforts by his aides to temper his comments, or to suggest that he was merely talking about curbing the spread of nuclear technology, especially to terrorists, Mr. Trump told a talk-show host, Mika Brzezinski of MSNBC: “Let it be an arms race. We will outmatch them at every pass and outlast them all.”
It sounds like he may be planning to go Reagan—force them to outspend themselves. With Putin approval over 75% and a drop in unemployment from 13% since Yeltsin down to 6%, useless spending on nuclear armaments could damage the Russian economy and raise unemployment and disapproval of Putin. It probably won’t help ours either, but we have further to fall.

RA - If I remember correctly, the Polish crash killed most of the top Polish politicians. Very suspicious at that time.

I do not think that Obama is trying to pressure Russia into war. Putin needs conflicts to stay in power. The Russian population is getting older and is shrinking https://populationpyramid.net/russian-federation/2026/

The Russian economy is a typical third world economy heavily dependent on raw materials.

Exports from Russia amounted to US$331.5 billion in 2015, down by -35.5% since 2011 and behind -33% from 2014 to 2015. Russia's top 10 exports accounted for 70.3% of the overall value of its global shipments.

http://www.worldstopexports.com/russias-top-10-exports/2350/

If electric cars would increase the demand for gasoline would go down together with the price of oil, and the economy of Russia would shrink even faster.

I am not sure that Putin is updated on this, if he was he should have chosen another strategy for Russia with cooperation with his neighbors and the West. But Russia is a kleprocracy http://www.nybooks.com/articles/2014/12/18/how-he-and-his-cronies-stole-russia/ so it is difficult to reform the country
