Presumably you have a better understanding than I do as to why it has been, and continues to be, in the best interests of our country to be a member of the UN, so I would have to review the arguments for and against before I could agree, or disagree, with your position on the issue.
There are some games that you can win by not playing—that’s why I homeschool my kids and bypass the public indoctrination programs. It’s why I love how Trump doesn’t play the media’s game and just uses Twitter to go around them.
I’m not convinced removing ourselves from the UN will do anything except enable all these other insane countries to pass even worse resolutions. Looking at Iraq pre-OIF, you can certainly debate whether those resolutions matter one iota from a practical standpoint, but they do lend international legitimacy to tinpot dictators’ complaints against countries much better than their own.
