Just happened to me-10 years with the company and a phone call early Fri morning when my email/company log in/company phone had already been cut off telling me I was “laid off” (aka—FIRED). They cut insurance same day which was the worst part really. This is cold, cruel, heartless and every other word you can think of to describe something like this happening—still— it did. Recourse? Unemployment (gee thanks!) and COBRA (meaning $900 for 20 days of insurance thru end of month). I hope at least Schumer was a bit more generous altho he is a dem and I doubt it—
