I was TDY in Turkey for a week. It was the longest week of my life. I hated being around people of that particular religious persuasion.
My final mission there, after nearly two years, was successful - we cut their foreign military funding from an average of $15 million/year to ZERO. One of the highlights from my 25 years on active duty.
