You assume correctly. The cruiser carries a significantly larger missile load, and better facilities for helicopters.

Kinda. The Arleigh Burke class is almost as big and the Zumwalt class destroyer is actually larger.

Of the 27 Ticonderoga class cruisers, the five with the fore and aft twin-rail missile launchers have been retired, leaving 22 still active. There are 62 Burke class destroyers active, four launched but not yet active, three more under construction, and seven more contracts awarded. This is according to the Wikipedia page on the ship.

So the remaining Ticonderoga class and all the Burke destroyers have VLS I guess?

I worked on BGM-109 Tomahawk integrating the AUR into the VLS and armored box launchers.
