I remember getting a peek at her behind the curtain when I went to a Trump rally in Fairfield, CT on August 13. Just days later, Trump put her officially in charge of the campaign along with Steve Bannon.

At the time, the media portrayed the moves as a desperate Trump campaign in disarray. But Conway and Bannon turned out to be the best moves Trump made.

Many of us here noted that that was MSM agitprop (now called fake news), but that Trump was really transitioning his team for the general election, the way he transitioned to the delegates fight when Trump replaced Lewandowski with Manafort.

Robert Mercer, Rebekah Mercer, Steve Bannon, Kellyanne Conway and David Bossie all came over in mid August.
