I don’t mind it, but I think he has more important things to do. At some point, it looks more like he loves the adulation than anything else. I love Trump, but I am not mindless and when he does something I think is a bit “odd” there is no harm on calling it out.

It’s not that odd. It’s useful. Aside from the fact that Trump loves them, it’s another way of getting around the press and going directly to the people, cutting out the MSM. He can reach huge audiences, both the big crowds at the rallies and all the TV/Internet watchers of the rallies.
They are enormous fireside chats, and he can get out corrections to the media/Dem/Soros crowd/demonstrators, etc. lies that they perpetrate. And get his own zingers out there. It’s another form of communication with the ordinary people who make this country, not the Washington elite. I love his rallies. It’s another forum for Trump to get out his message to the folks, think a giant Twitter audience, and it works.
