Why is the left all of a sudden concerned with tradition?

All Presidents travel and make public appearances, Trump will just fill arenas and hangers instead of little meeting rooms where a few hundred of the hoi polio see him. And RSBN will stream them on the internet so 5$0,000 more can too.

It probably won’t take any more advance work and some of the larger venues are more isolated thus easier secured.

It won’t have to be on regular television, which is going the way of the horse and buggy, he can have live streaming events on the internet cheaply. This with either approach; rallies and/or “fireside” chats.

I could see the NRA working with him when he needs it, among others.

The MSM are dying while denying it.

Too many Democrats and Republicans only pander to people before the election and then neglect them for the next few years. Trump is doing this victory tour specifically to show he’s not forgetting his base.
This tour has the benefit of putting him in local headlines continuously in a positive way, while giving him a platform to counter those who are criticizing him before he’s even in office.
In many places, it also puts him in front of an enthusiastic audience where he can highlight saving the local factory or the owners of the major employer promised to hire more Americans (IBM). Then he gets strong social media buzz that will really hit his base.

...and the Democrats will WHINE about the ‘cost’ of these rallies...but never complained about the cost of some of Obama’s useless adventures (like bringing 100 people on a tour of Africa).

Trump should not do rallies after he’s sworn in? Well, let’s see here, Bill Clinton was in the perpetual campaign mode after being sworn in, both times. Obama could not keep is me, me, I, I mouth shut.

Rallies and using Twitter are excellent ways to bypass the media. Let the public hear it direct without misquotes, things taken out of context or just plain out right lies.

He is going to have to side step the media and his own party to keep his people fired up and get his agenda passed.

Yup. Rallies will keep him fired up too. He loves 'em.

He can circumvent the media filter by going direct via TV statements.

Nah, if he went on TV, the networks would still have talking heads spinning and shaping the narrative before and after he went on-air. Live rallies or live streaming is the way to go.

Get OANN One America News Network on the cable systems and satellite nets and bypass the BS Media (BSM)

I wish he would quit doing them from a security standpoint.

I like the little 5 minute Utube Info reports he does.

I don’t mind it, but I think he has more important things to do. At some point, it looks more like he loves the adulation than anything else. I love Trump, but I am not mindless and when he does something I think is a bit “odd” there is no harm on calling it out.

“I don’t mind it, but I think he has more important things to do. At some point, it looks more like he loves the adulation than anything else.”

It’s not that odd. It’s useful. Aside from the fact that Trump loves them, it’s another way of getting around the press and going directly to the people, cutting out the MSM. He can reach huge audiences, both the big crowds at the rallies and all the TV/Internet watchers of the rallies.

They are enormous fireside chats, and he can get out corrections to the media/Dem/Soros crowd/demonstrators, etc. lies that they perpetrate. And get his own zingers out there. It’s another form of communication with the ordinary people who make this country, not the Washington elite. I love his rallies. It’s another forum for Trump to get out his message to the folks, think a giant Twitter audience, and it works.
