The Korean PMC Bronze in .223 is excellent. So is the Israeli IMI and the Australian Outback brand.

Quality: Dog-turd to excellent. You get what you pay for.
Corrosive: Not
Brass: yes. Also steel.
Sellier & Bellot (Czech) makes excellent ammo.
Prvi Partizan (Serbian) is pretty good too.
Most of the Russian ammo is junk, especially the steel cased ammo.
There’s nothing wrong with steel cased 7.62x39 in appropriate rifles. Generally not corrosive, if of modern manufacture.
Check out Lapua. Match grade ammo from Denmark / Finland.

A lot of it isn't milsurp. Much is high quality, such as Eley in .22, Baschieri & Pellagri for shotgun clays games, etc... The shells I shoot in Sporting Clays are from Italy, and that is about 50 flats a year at 25 lbs a case. My rifle and pistol ammo, especially for Cowboy is US made though.
