Paul Craig Roberts is one of those "conservatives" who blame liberalism on Israel, especially Israel's political right wing. Whether it's "gay rights," interventionism, pacifism, "the money power," "globalism," whatever. They're all orchestrated by the Israelis (especially right wing Israelis). To "palaeos" like Roberts, liberalism and leftism are literally Israeli plots.
Back in the day, Willis Carto's "Liberty Lobby" (which supported the PLO full tilt) actually used to sponsor visits to Qaddafi's Communist Libya--because, being anti-Israel, they were supposedly actually anti-Communist.
I see. Thanks for the info about this Roberts guy. He sometimes starts to make sense and then tosses in this kind of anti- Jew “throwaway line”. he is like another commentator I’ve stopped reading. While most of the dangerous anti- Semitism is on the left these days, there are still a few problematic ones on the right
