The Electoral College Meets Monday. Here’s What to Expect.(MSM talking points template)

WASHINGTON — On Monday, 538 people will meet to determine who will be the next president.

These meetings of the Electoral College, convened in every state and the District of Columbia just shy of six weeks after Election Day, have long been little more than a formality.

But the victory of President-elect Donald J. Trump, who lost the popular vote but is projected to win the most electoral votes, has thrust the Electoral College into the spotlight once more. The conclusion of American intelligence agencies that Russia tried to intervene in the election to harm Hillary Clinton’s campaign has only intensified the focus in recent days.

President Obama on Friday described the Electoral College — originally a compromise between those who wanted Congress to choose the president and those who favored a popular vote — as a “ vestige.” As electors gather in state capitols across the country, here is a rundown of what comes next.

Who are the electors? In short, the electors are people chosen by their state political parties to cast votes for president and vice president. Electors can be state party leaders or elected officials; sometimes they are individuals with a personal connection to a presidential candidate. Bill Clinton, for instance, is a New York elector this year.

I am worried about the McConnell crowd....slithering snakes hiding under rocks, like they have been all along. I think that this is where the real peril lies

Agreed. The greatest danger to the Trump administration and its policies lies in the Republican Senate.

Not just the leadership -- McConnell and Cornyn -- but the McCain cabal (Graham, Flake, Collins, et al), as well. With only a 52-48 majority, loyalty and leadership are critical -- and we can't count on either in the Senate.

And remember who manage to screw up the best plans of the Bush administration -- the Trent Lott-led Republican Senate, featuring John McCain as chief sabotager.

We’ll know almost immediately, but remember that Congress can reject single electors or whole state slates on Jan. 6, when the EV count is officially ACCEPTED. Nobody is likely to bother with faithless electors since they won’t make a difference.

And you wonder why the slimes just rented out eight whole floors of their midtown Manhattan headquarters?

The beauty of this silliness is WE GET TO WIN ONE MORE TIME.

And we get to watch them freak out, cr, and pretend they’re all 13 year old girls. The Pity Party show goes on... and it’s fun to watch.

The Senate is just about 100% reptiles. The House not far enough behind. Maybe Sessions can drive off the gators and crocs to let other start to pump out the swamp to find the drain, if it has one.

A candidate’s spouse should not be an elector.

I saw a Communist poster up today, they are calling for national protests (think Occupy) every day for the next 30 days (Electoral College through Inauguration Day).

Waiting for the MSM to highlight to Communist connection to these astroturf (paid) protest movements.

Thank you for what I’m sure is an excellent recommendation.

I’ve put a copy on order and will certainly read it as soon as I get it.
